Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.630 of 2013 within a time frame to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.630 of 2013 which was registered on 02.08.2013 for the offence punishable under Sections 467, 468, 406, 420 and 506(ii) of I.P.C.
2.Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the accused facing criminal case and the respondent has not shown any interest to investigate the matter and lay a final report. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the relief as stated above. 4.When the matter was posted on 10.03.2016, the matter was adjourned at the request of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor to get instructions and it is posted today. Today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions from the respondent police would submit that case has been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
transferred on 31.03.2013 to the Central Crime Branch, Chennai and hence, he prayed for time to get correct instructions. 5.The submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would reveal that the case is of the year 2013 and it was pending with the respondent police till 31.03.2016 and now only it was transferred to the Central Crime Branch. In such circumstances, this Court directs the respondent police to transmit the entire records pertaining to the case to the Central Crime Branch, Chennai and the Central Crime Branch, Chennai is directed to investigate into the matter and complete the investigation in Crime No.630 of 2013 and file the final report, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
