ORDER

The petitioner herein sought for police permission for a temporary installation of Vinayagar Idol and take procession. His requests for permission was rejected by the Sub-Inspector of Police, D-4, R.K.Pettai Police Station, Tiruvallur District on the ground that two other persons also sought for permission to install Vinayagar idol in the very same place ie., near M.G.R.Statue and the place near bus stand. Taking into consideration that the disturbance to the traffic and law and order issue, permission been refused.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that permission may be granted for installation of Vinayagar Idol in different place and he will abide by conditions imposed by the police for peaceful conduct of the festival and procession.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the application for temporary installation of Vinayagar Idol in different places if submitted, the same will be considered within a period of two days provided the idol is made of bio degradable material.

4. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of . No order as to costs.
