Respondents Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents to register a case on the basis of oral statement recorded by the respondents on 07.10.2015 and complaint dated 24.02.2016 to the respondents and investigate the same in accordance with law.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction to the respondents to register a case pertaining to the petitioner's complaint dated 24.02.2016 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner met with a road accident on 07.10.2015 and that he had https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

sustained multiple injuries all over the body. Immediately, the petitioner was admitted in the Government hospital, Chennai. While the petitioner was in hospital, the second respondent police came there, enquired him and recorded his statement on the very same day. Even then the respondents have not registered the case. So the petitioner has given the complaint to the respondents on 24.02.2016. But the case is yet to be registered. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief.

3.At this juncture, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by an auto driver viz., Suresh, a case in Crime No.135 of 2015 has been registered for the offences under Sections 279, 337 (2 counts) IPC and 184 of Motor Vehicles Act. 4.Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. The respondent police is directed to investigate the matter in accordance with law.
