O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 18.06.2022 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. This petition has been filed by the petitioner for the reason that he sent a representation on 18.06.2022 to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department, Cuddalore making specific allegation against the Manager, Indian Bank, Thittakudi Branch. Thereafter, the petitioner received a communication from the Director, Directorate of Vigilance and AntiCorruption, Alandur, Chennai in Petition No.8124/2022/Bank/CL dated 06.07.2022 informing that on scrutiny of the petition it was revealed that the content of the petition is not coming under the purview of DVAC. Hence, the petition has been forwarded to the Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation, South Zone, Chennai - 6 for taking necessary action. Even thereafter, no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner has filed this petition.

3. Learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner's complaint has been forwarded to the Chief Vigilance Officer, Head Quarters of Indian Bank, Royapettah on 28.07.2022 to Page No.2 of 4

find out whether any enquiry conduced by the Chief Vigilance Officer of Indian Bank, Royapettah. Thereafter, this Court suo-motu impleaded the Chief Vigilance officer, Head Quarters of Indian Bank, Royapettah, Chennai as second respondent in this case on 01.11.2022. Thereafter, notice has been taken to the second respondent.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the second respondent/Indian Bank submitted that Indian Bank Vigilance Office is unable to immediately trace the petitioner's petition.

5. Today, learned counsel for the petitioner served copy of the petition and typed set of paper to the learned counsel for the second respondent/Indian Bank. The Vigilance Department of the Indian Bank is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.06.2022 along with typed set of papers and take a decision with intimation to the petitioner. The said exercise to be completed preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
