ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioners to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry and except by due process of law by considering the representation of the petitioners dated 07.12.2021 on the file of the first respondent herein.

2. Grievance of the petitioner is that he lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 07.12.2021 for fearing for life

and also for the property. Since their house has been locked forcibly, the petitioners are now in the street. Hence, they seeks police protection and also allow them to reside in the house. Learned counsel for the petitioners on instructions, would submit that the petitioners shall appear before the second respondent on 22.12.2021.

3. Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the complaint of the petitioner has been sent by post. The petitioner has to approach the second respondent along with the copy of the complaint, and the second respondent shall verify the veracity of the complaint by conducting an enquiry.

4. Considering the submission made by either side, the petitioners are directed to appear before the second respondent on 22.12.2021 along with the copy of the complaint along other relevant materials available with them and also give their explanation and also thereafter, the second respondent will take appropriate action in accordance with law.

5.With the abovesaid directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
