O R D E R

The petitioner was granted anticipatory bail by this Court on 11.07.2025 in Crl.O.P.No.18317 of 2025, and one of the conditions imposed was that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- to the credit of the Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Porur, Chennai. After the petitioner came forward to deposit the said amount, he has now filed two 1/3

petitions one seeking an extension of time and another seeking modification of the said condition.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that he is arrayed as A3 in this case and is only an employee of A1 and A2. It is submitted that A1 and A2 were arrested and granted bail without any conditions. Hence, the petitioner seeks modification of the bail condition and further prays for two weeks time to execute the sureties.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, submitted that the petitioner is in fact the owner of the consignment and that A1 and A2 are only employees. Though the petitioner is ranked as A3, he is allegedly behind the entire group and had been evading the police for quite some time. Considering these aspects, this Court granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Further, in view of the undertaking given by the petitioner, this Court is of the considered opinion that the bail application does not warrant any modification, and therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain the petition for modification.
