Mr.Anand Gopalan in all Cont.Ps for M/s.Agam Legal COMMON ORDER (Order of the Court was authored by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.) These contempt petitions have been filed for the alleged disobedience of the orders of this Court vide the common order dated 29.08.2023 in W.A.Nos.550, 548, 549 and 609 of 2019.

2. Today, when these cases were taken up for hearing, Mr.Anand Gopalan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the orders of this Court have been

complied with and in support of his contentions, he has produced copies of the orders dated 25.02.2025, passed in respect of each of the petitioners, where, after having considered the plea of the respective petitioners, the same was rejected on merits and therefore, since the orders of this Court have been complied with, these contempt petitions could be closed, he contended.

3. It was submitted by Mr.S.Baskaran, learned counsel for the petitioners that the orders rejecting the plea of the petitioners are not justifiable and are not in consonance with the orders passed by this Court. Therefore, these contempt petitions could be adjudicated further, he contended.

4. We are not impressed with the same for the simple reason that since we have given directions to appear before the Committee and the Committee, after having considered the claim made by each of the petitioners, shall come forward to decide the issue on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, a decision has been taken, whereby, the plea of the petitioners were considered and rejected vide separate orders dated 25.02.2025. Therefore, if at all the petitioners are aggrieved against these orders, they can adjudicate the same in the manner known to law.

5. Therefore, these contempt petitions cannot be pursued further. Accordingly, these contempt petitions stand closed, with liberty to the petitioners to agitate against the orders dated 25.02.2025, if aggrieved, in the manner known to law. (R.S.K., J.) (K.B., J) 21.03.2025 drm
