The present petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register the First Information Report based on the petitioner's complaint dated 13.12.2015 and to investigate of the same.
2. The petitioner herein submitted that the marriage between the petitioner and one Victor Paul took place on 10.09.2010. After marriage, the petitioner's husband and in-laws ill treated, abused, harassed and humiliated her demanded dowry inspite of the fact that sufficient dowry was given at the time of marriage. The petitioner further submitted that the petitioner's in-laws illegally arranged for the second marriage to her husband Victor Paul and the same took place on 10.12.2015. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police. Since no action was taken so far, the present petition has been filed.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that already a complaint was lodged by the petitioner's husband against this petitioner and others for threatening and assaulting him and the same was registered in Crime No.552/2015 and only as a counter blast, the complaint dated 13.12.2015 has been given by the petitioner. However, on the complaint given by the petitioner C.S.R.No.735/2015 has been assigned.

Since C.S.R. number was assigned on the complaint given by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent police is directed to conduct an enquiry on the said complaint and upon enquiry, if the materials are gathered indicating any cognizable offence, the 2nd respondent is directed to proceed further in accordance with law as early as possible. In the course of enquiry, if no prima facie is made out or the matter is civil in nature, he is directed to pass appropriate orders on the complaint made by the petitioner.
5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
