O R D E R
The petitioner, who arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.03.2025, for an offence punishable under Sections 109, 395 and 397 of I.P.C, in Crime No.94 of 2023, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.
2. The petitioner is a chronic defaulter in attending Court and also habitual offender. He was secured in this case after long abscondence, only when he was apprehended in another connected case and remanded to Palayamkottai Prison.
3. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submits that, in this case, the accused persons, one after another, have remained absent, thereby preventing the progress of the case, which is now posted for framing of charges. Hence, this Court is of the view that, before commencement of trial, if the petitioner is released on bail, there will not be any progress in the matter.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition for bail stands dismissed for the present.
