O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 20.05.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for revocation of suspension order passed by the second respondent on 19.10.2023.

2. Heard Mr.S.Doraisamy, learned counsel for petitioner and Mrs.V.Yamuna Devi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

3. The case of the petitioner is that she was working as a Village Administrative Officer at Oorkudi Village, Thiruvarur District. A First Information Report came to be registered in Crime No.6 of 2023 by Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption. The petitioner was arrayed as an accused in this case. The petitioner was arrested and remanded to 2/4

judicial custody. Hence, an order of suspension came to be passed by second respondent dated 19.10.2023 under Rule 17(2)(e) of Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that she was kept under prolonged suspension and therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 20.05.2024 requesting the respondents to review and revoke the order of suspension. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 20.05.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondents along with all relevant documents and also a copy of this order.
