JUDGMENT

(Order of the Court was made by N.SATHISH KUMAR, J.) Today, appellant and respondent and their respective counsel are present before this Court.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel on both sides that the parties have arrived at a settlement and have reduced the terms of settlement into writing vide a Joint Compromise Memo dated 29.12.2025.

3. It is stated in the Joint Compromise Memo that parties have arrived at the settlement for a sum of Rs.28,00,000/- [Rupees Twenty Eight Lakhs only] out of which a sum of Rs.15,00,000/- [Rupees Fifteen Lakhs only] has already been paid vide Demand Draft bearing No.506441 dated 24.12.2025 drawn on ICICI Bank, Selaiyur Branch and remaining Rs.13,00,000/- [Rupees Thirteen Lakhs only] will be paid by the appellant to the respondent on or before 31.03.2026.

4. In view of the above, this first appeal is disposed of in terms of the above Joint Compromise Memo. The Joint Compromise Memo shall form part of the decree. Registry to refund the Court fee subject only to standard / applicable statutory deductions, if any. Refund shall be by way of an 2/4

instrument drawn in the name of the appellant, subject to counsel for appellant complying with procedural requirements. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. [N.S.K.,J.] [R.S.V.,J.] 05.01.2026 Index: Yes/No gpa 3/4
