Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2024 to reclassify and refix the market value of the petitioner's agricultural land in S.No.277/1A1B and 277/1A1C to the extent of 1.86 1⁄2 acre situated at Ammani Village, Kumarapalayam, Namakkal District as per the circular issued by the first respondent in proceedings in No.15678/L1/2024, dated 16.05.2024. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 31.07.2024 seeking reclassification of the petitioner's land as agricultural land situated in S.Nos.277/1A1B and 277/1A1C at Ammani Village, Kumarapalayam, Namakkal District. 2/5

According to the petitioner, the land belonged to him in S.Nos.277/1A1B and 277/1A1C at Ammani Village, Kumarapalayam, Namakkal District, is the agricultural land and the same has been wrongly classified as house site and the guideline value for the same is also fixed treating as house site. The petitioner submitted a representation to the second respondent on 31.07.2024 seeking reclassification of the land, the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
