Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take into account the entire service rendered by the petitioner in the Rajakkamangalam Town Panchayat and regularise him as Water Supply Attender in the time scale of pay and consequently absorb him in the Tamil Nadu Town Panchayat Service and pay him all back wages and other attendant benefits due to the petitioner.

ORDER
The prayer in the present writ petition is for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus to regularize the petitioner's services a Water Supply Attender in the time scale of pay and for consequential monetary benefits.

2. The petitioner was aged about 45 years when the writ petition was filed and apparently, he has now reached the age of superannuation. As such, the question of regularization cannot be considered at this point of time. In case, the petitioner is of the view that he would be entitled for retrospective regularization, even at this stage, liberty is hereby granted to him to make an appropriate representation to the concerned authority and on receipt of the same, the authority shall consider it on its own merits and pass appropriate orders, atleast within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of the representation.
3. With the above liberty, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
