ORDER
This Court vide order dated dated 12.04.2019 in W.P.No.13447 of 2018, has issued a direction to the respondents to consider the Medical Reimbursement Claim of the writ petitioner and settle the same in accordance with his eligibility and disburse the amount within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. As per the order of this Court, G.O.Rt.No.1030, Finance (Pension) Department, dated 31.10.2019 was issued, wherein the Government has sanctioned an amount of Rs.23,235/- as Medical Reimbursement to the petitioner.
2.The learned counsel for the contempt petitioner would submit that the petitioner claimed a sum of Rs.2,11,623/- as medical reimbursement and the eligibility amount is Rs.2,00,000/-. The petitioner has also submitted the medical bills for a sum of Rs.2,00,000/-. However, the respondents disbursed only an amount of Rs.23,235/-. Hence, this Contempt Petition came to be filed. 2/4
3.This Court is of the view that earlier this Court has passed only an order of direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's claim and has not given any positive direction to sanction the amount as prayed for. Accordingly, the respondents have granted the amount of Rs.23,235/-. Thereby, the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.13447 of 2018 dated 12.04.2019, is complied with. 4.Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed and the contempt petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order passed by the respondents in the manner known to law. No costs.
