Prayer in W.P.No.9155 of 2017: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's request dated 30.09.2011 to provide new electricity service connection to the petitioner's premises of M/s.Hindusthan Steel And Alloys, Karamadai, Coimbatore-641004. Prayer in W.P.No.13779 of 2017: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's request dated 10.10.2016 to provide new electricity service connection to the petitioner's premises at S.F.No.361/2010 & 371/1 situated at Vadavalli Village, Annur Taluk, Coimbatore District.

For Petitioner : Mr.Dr.S.R.Kalyani For Respondents: Mr.J.Ramesh, AGP for R1 Mr.S.K.Rameshwar for R2 Ms.J.Madhuri for R3 Counsel for Official Liquidator COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioner to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's request dated and 30.09.2011 and 10.10.2016 to provide new electricity service connection to the petitioner's premises. 2.Though the learned Senior Counsel filed petitions to fix an early date for hearing, by consent these Writ Petitions have been taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that without going into the merits of the case, it is suffice that this court issue a direction to the Respondent Board to consider the representations made by the petitioners in the above writ petitions on 30.09.2011 and 10.10.2016 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law for effecting the new electricity service connection.

4.The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent Board would submit that the representations made by the petitioner will be considered as per the Regulations of the Electricity Board applicable to the petitioner. 5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent Board to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 30.09.2011 and 10.10.2016 in accordance with law and as per the relevant

regulations. This Court did not express any opinion on merits of the case. Liberty is granted to the respondent Board to pass orders in accordance with law.

6.These writ petitions stand disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
