The petitioner, who is arrayed as A-1, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 30.01.2016 for an alleged offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC in Crime No.271 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner by pledging fake jewels attempted to get loan from the de facto complainant, resulting in the registration of the case.

3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an auto driver, he has only assisted the passenger, who travelled in his auto at the time of occurrence. It is further submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

sri 4.Per contra, learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent would submit that A-2 in this case has already been arrested and remanded to judicial custody and the petitioner has no bad antecedents.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. 6.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his executing a bond for Rs.10,000/- [Rupees Ten Thousand only] with two sureties each for a like sum, to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.00a.m. until further orders. 15.03.2016 sri Crl.O.P.No.5371 of 2016
