ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) Learned Additional Advocate General relying on the affidavit filed by the District Collector, Chengalpet would submit that the authorities will remove the wall constructed in the patta land belong to the petitioners.
2. The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in SLP.(Civil).Diary.No.10441 of 2025 passed an order suspending the direction issued by the High Court to demolish the wall. However, the learned Additional Advocate General would submit that inspection was conducted subsequently and the authorities found that the wall is unnecessary. An administrative decision has been taken to remove the wall. Since the decision has been already taken by the competent authority, they are directed to remove the wall within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the wall has been removed by the authorities, and the petitioners are not insisting for deposit of Rs.50,00,000/-.
4. With the above direction, the order dated 11.07.2025 is modified by waiving the deposit amount of Rs.50,00,000/- as ordered.
5. Accordingly, the Sub Application No.830 of 2025 stands allowed.
6. Post the matter after two weeks.
