By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 1/4

2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to release the petitioner's mortgage deed vide document No.P / Thiruporur/ 295/ 2025 dated 17.07.2025 on the file of 2nd respondent.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner and his brother became the absolute owner of the property comprised in Survey Nos.43/4B, 43/5 and 45/9C measuring an extent of 0.50.7 cents, situated at 56, Thandalam Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District, vide release deed executed by petitioner's mother Vasantha on 28.06.2025. Thereafter, petitioner along with his brother presented the mortgage deed dated 17.07.2025 entered with one R.Rajesh for registration before the 2nd respondent, however, the same is stated to be kept pending. Hence, this writ petition.

4. At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondents that petitioner's request would be considered and the mortgage deed would be registered and released, if it is otherwise in order. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner. 2/4

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the appropriate respondent to consider the petitioner's request and register the mortgage deed, if it is otherwise in order and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for receipt of certified copy. If for any reason the same is rejected, the registering authority may do so after assigning appropriate reasons for such refusal. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
