Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order, having reference letter No.3486/E1/2019 dated 26.08.2019 on the file of the 2nd respondent and quash the same and consequently, direct the 2nd respondent to register "Chengalpattu District Cricket Association", based on the online application dated 24.07.2019. The petitioner is aggrieved against the proceedings of the second respondent dated 26.08.2019 refusing to register the petitioner-Association called "Chengalpattu District Cricket Association", solely on the reason that on the date of the application, Chengalpattu District was not in existence.

2. Heard both sides.

3. It is not in dispute that now, the Government has bifurcated the previous District and named as Chengalpattu District, where the petitioner-Association is located. Therefore, it is for the petitioner to make a fresh application before the authorities for registering their Association. Needless to say that if any such application is filed, the same shall be considered and appropriate orders shall be passed on merits and in accordance with law. Granting such liberty, this Writ Petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
