This petition has been filed to quash the charge sheet in C.C.No.1644 of 2015 on the file of the XI Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai against the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 417, 465, 468, 471 r/w 120(b) of I.P.C.

2. The case of the prosecution is that accused pretending to be an I.A.S.Officer had lured the defacto complainant and others to give huge sum of amount in the pretext of getting Government Jobs and also issued the forged appointment order.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that in this case PW.1 has already been examined and the case is posted for examination of further witnesses on 17.12.2021.

4. The prosecution has unearthed several materials by examining many witnesses and filed the final report. Therefore, the contention of the learned Counsel for the petitioner that the offence alleged against the petitioner has not been made out cannot be countenanced and it is for the trial Court to appreciate the evidence. Hence, this Court is not inclined quash the proceedings against the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
