.. Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to divide the division of the J.Thathanoor Panchayat into T.Melur and T.Keelaveli situated at J.Thathanoor Panchayat, Udayarpalam Taluk, Ariyalur District.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents states that the issue is already receiving the attention of the authorities concerned since January, 2016 and the competent person in this behalf is the fourth respondent.
2. We are of the view that a decision on the representation of the petitioner in respect of the bifurcation of the divisions should be taken within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the order, since already about 9 months have lapsed. We may note that the final order will have to be passed by the third respondent/District Collector.
