ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
The writ petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2024. The case of the petitioner is that, the petitioner's husband viz., Mr.Silambarasan, was working as Junior Assistant in the 3rd respondent Office. However, while he was in service, he died on 19.01.2023, leaving behind the petitioner and two minor children and his mother as legal heirs. Under these circumstances, the petitioner / wife of the deceased Government employee sent a representation to the 2nd respondent dated 18.11.2024, seeking appointment under compassionate grounds and the same is yet to be considered. Hence seeking a mandamus, the petitioner has come before this Court by way of present writ petition.

Learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered on merits and in accordance with law within a reasonable time.

Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the above submission of the learned Government Advocate, without going into the merits of the matter, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.11.2024, and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
