O R D E R

This transfer petition is at the instance of the wife. She seeks withdrawal of OP No.5256 of 2023 from the file of the II Additional Principal Family Court, Chennai and transfer the same to the file of the Family Court, Pondicherry.

2. I heard both sides. I have gone through the affidavit.

3. Though the petitioner wants the proceeding to be transferred to the file of the Subordinate Court at Devakottai, since Devakottai is not as well connected with other parts of Tamil Nadu like Karaikudi, and since the husband is the resident of Thanjavur, I am inclined to withdraw O.P.No.370 of 2022 re-numbered as O.P.No.5256 of 2023 on the file of the II Additional Principal Family Court, Chennai and transfer the same to the Subordinate Court at Karaikudi.

4. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that O.P.No.5259 of 2023 is also pending on the file of the II Additional Family Court. Both the proceedings are withdrawn from the said Court and are transferred to the file of the Sub Court at Karaikudi. 5.Accordingly, O.P.No.5256 of 2023 and O.P.No.5259 of 2023 are withdrawn from the file of the II Additional Principal Family Court, Chennai and transferred to the file of the Sub Court, Karaikudi. The learned Judge, Sub Court, Karaikudi, on transfer of the proceedings, shall re-number the same and proceed further.

6. With the above observations, the Transfer Petition is ordered. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Index:Yes/No 24.01.2025 Speaking order/Non-speaking order mrp To 1.The II Additional Principal Family Court, Chennai. 2.The Family Court, Pondicherry.
