ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to issue membership card to the petitioner by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 21.09.2023 and 19.07.2024 within a stipulated time.

2. Heard Mr.Vijayakumar.N, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mrs.M.Jayanthy, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner claims himself as the member of the first respondent from 13.03.2000. The petitioner has stated that he was given with the membership card on 13.03.2000. However, during subsequent renewal, he was asked to produce the earlier membership card issued to him. Despite the fact that he had attached the old card, his renewal has not been done so far and he was not given with the old membership card. Page No.2 of 4

The representation of the petitioner in this regard is lying with the first respondent. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court seeking direction to the first respondent.

4. In view of the above submission, this Writ Petition is allowed and the first respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 21.09.2023 and 19.07.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
