[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.,] (1)The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to classify Athipattu Village Panchayat President Post under Schedule Caste category along with other Wards as per the Tamil Nadu Panchayats [Reservation of Seats and Rotation of Reserved Seats] Rules 1995, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2024. (2)Mr.K.Karthik Jagannathan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

(3)Having regard to the limited scope of prayer that is now sought for in this

writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's contention in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.07.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders or take appropriate action within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.
