Crl.O.P.No.5701 of 2016 K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.

The petitioner, who is the sole accused, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 06.02.2016 for an alleged offence punishable under Section 392 of IPC in Crime No.35 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail 2.The case of the prosecution is that when the de facto complainant was walking on the road, the petitioner has snatched her chain worth about Rs.95,000/-.

3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has been falsely implicated as accused in the present case. It is further submitted that the respondent has also recovered chain from the petitioner.

4.Per contra, learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent opposed to grant bail to the petitioner contending that the petitioner is a habitual offender and he is involved in similar cases.

sri 5.Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and therefore, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
