Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner was appointed as Animal Keeper in the Vandalur Zoo on 03.08.1995 and is working till date. He was charged for certain irregularities and enquiry was conducted. After detailed enquiry, he was imposed a punishment of postponement of the increment with cumulative effect for a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
period of five years and only the basic pay alone will be disbursed for the period of five years,. The 3rd respondent passed an order imposing the above said punishment in his proceedings Sae.Mu.Order.No.522/2015/Pa3 dated 15.07.2015, against which the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent on 01.09.2015. But, till date no orders have been passed by the 1st respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to pass orders on the appeal filed by the petitioner on 01.09.2015 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. 4.In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 01.09.2015, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
