[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to produce the body or person of the petitioner's husband viz., M.Kamaiah, S/o.Gnyanaiah, aged about 60 years, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

It is the case of the petitioner her husband Kamaiah, aged about 60 years, went missing from 21.06.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure him. 3.

Today, T.Justin Raj (Mobile No.99405 42976), SubInspector of Police, J-13, Tharamani Police Station, Chennai - 113, is present.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by Sridhar, son of the petitioner, a case in Tharamani Police Station Crime No.365 of 2021 has been registered on 23.06.2021 for 'man missing' and investigation is in progress.

In such view of the matter, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Tharamanai Sub-Division, to supervise the investigation in Tharamani Police Station Crime No.365 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu Kamaiah, aged about 60 years, is secured, he shall be produced before the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, under intimation to the petitioner.
