Amended as per order of this Hon'ble Court dated 12/03/2018 in Crl.M.P.No.3787 of 2018 in Crl.OP.22080 of 2017.

ORDER

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to the Domestic Violence Case No.53 of 2017 on the file of the 18th Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai and quash the same in respect of the petitioners herein.

2. The case is still at the stage of trial. By passage of time, the parties have decided to bury their hatchet and compromise the dispute amicably among themselves. 3.A Memorandum of Settlement dated 19.06.2019 has been filed before this Court which have been signed by the 1st accused and the defacto complainant. In order to identify the respective parties they have also produce the copy of the Aadhaar Card is made part of the record. This Court also enquired both the parties and was satisfied that the parties have come to an amicable settlement between themselves.

4. Under such circumstances, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the Domestic Violence Case pending.

5. This Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and as a sequel, the proceedings in Domestic Violence Case No.53 of 2017 on the file of the learned 18th Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Saidapet, Chennai, is quashed in so far as all the respondents and the terms of Memorandum of Settlement shall form part and parcel of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
