By consent of both the learned counsel for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.

The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, directing the Respondents to consider the representations of the Petitioner dated 01.03.2025 and 15.03.2025 to sanction revised pension from the date of retirement and re-fix the other monetary benefits for the future benefits to the Petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
3. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he retired 2/6
from service long back. It is the contention of the petitioner that he was appointed as an Elementary School Secondary Grade Teacher on 27.09.1971 and promoted as Elementary School Headmaster on 28.06.1989. It is the contention of the petitioner that he is entitled to the benefit under G.O.Ms.No.234, Education (G2) Department, dated 10.09.2009, to have revised scale of pay for conferment of selection grade and it is the further contention of the petitioner that 500 retired teachers have already received such special grade pay. Claiming such special grade pay, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents 2 and 3 on 15.03.2025 and such representation is pending with them. It is the further submission of the petitioner that the issue involved in the present case is no longer res integra in view of the order passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.255 to 257 of 2014, vide order dated 08.01.2014.
5. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would strongly object the entitlement of the petitioner. However, he would submit that if any representation is received by the respondents, they will consider the same, within a reasonable time.
6. In such view of the above submission, without going into the merits 3/6
of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2025 and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
