This petition is filed under Section 378 (4) Cr.P.C, to grant leave to the petitioner to file an appeal against the judgment dated 30.05.2023 made in S.T.C.No.838 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Ariyalur.

2. Heard Mr.G.Ilamurugu, learned counsel for the petitioner.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that though the accused admitted his signature on the cheque and did not also send any reply to the statutory notice issued by the complainant, the trial court had dismissed the private complaint on the ground that the complainant did not prove passing of consideration by adducing acceptable evidence. 4.According to him, there are arguable points in the present appeal and accordingly, leave is granted.
