ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation of the case in Cr.No.493 of 2014 and file a final report at an earlier point of time.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that he has preferred a complaint before the respondent police as against one Srinivasan for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(ii) I.P.C. and the same was registered in Crime 493 of 2014. Thereafter there is no progress in the case. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that there is no delay on the part of the respondent-police and the petitioner has not furnished correct address of the accused. If the petitioner gives the correct address of the accused, necessary action would be taken.

4.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the petitioner to furnish the correct address of the accused to the respondentpolice. On receipt of the same, the respondent-police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.493 of 2014 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible. 6.The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
