05.06.2025 in accordance with Rule of Reservation as per Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of seats in Education Institutions and of Appointments or Posts in the Services under the State) Act, 1993.

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed directing the 1 st respondent to consider the petitioner for admission into MBBS course for the year 2025-26 in accordance with the Clause 6.1.6 (a)(i) and (ii) and clause 6.4 of the Information Bulletin NEET-UG-2025 of the 2 nd respondent and clause 3(10) of the prospectus issued by the 1 st respondent as per G.O.(D) No.602 Health and Family Welfare (MCA-1) Department, dated 05.06.2025 in accordance with Rule of Reservation as per Tamil Nadu Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Reservation of seats in Education Institutions and of Appointments or Posts in the Services under the State) Act, 1993.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner belongs to OBC and comes within the creamy layer.

3. However, as per this State is concerned there is no distinction between

the creamy layer and non-creamy layer. It is the apprehension of the petitioner that since because he has not submitted the certificate indicating that he is belonging to the Non creamy layer, his chance for selection will be seriously affected.

4. At this juncture, the learned Special Counsel appearing on behalf of the st respondent would submit that the NEET result was published on 25.07.2025 and the petitioner's name was found under the category of BC. This factum was also admitted by the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner.

5. Recording the said submission, the present writ petition stands closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed.
