Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated

22.07.2022 submitted to the 3rd respondent for regularization of their house site Plot No.131, measuring an extent of 2400 sq. ft in English Electric Nagar, comprised in Survey No.127/6, Zamin Pallavaram Village, Pallavaram Taluk, Chengalpattu District within a time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court and consequently direct the 4th respondent to mutate the revenue records in petitioners favour and pass orders. ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.07.2022 and pass orders.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner purchased the subject property and the same was registered vide document No.4089 of 2007 at the office of Sub-Registrar, Pallavaram. From the date of purchase the petitioner was in enjoyment and possession of the subject property. Whileso, the petitioner received information from the adjacent plot owners that the subject property and some other plots earlier sold by the petitioner's vendor were covered under Urban Land Ceiling Act. Therefore the petitioner seeks remedy on the basis of G.O.Ms.No.649 Revenue Department dated 29.07.1998 and G.O.Ms.No.565/ULC-

I/Revenue Department dated 26.09.2008. Hence the petitioner made an application to the respondent on 22.07.2022. But, the same was not considered. Hence the present petition with the afore said prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the second and third respondents to consider the petitioners application dated 22.07.2022 within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought for in this writ petition before this Court and taking into account the submissions made on either side, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the second and third respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 22.07.2022 and pass orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
