Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the constitution for issuance of writ of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 5 to pay the compensation for the damages caused to the petitioner on account of erection of towers and overhead lines in the petitioner's agricultural lands in S.Nos.387/10, 387/2D1A, etc. situated at Vembedu Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District in order to compliance of the directions issued by this Court in WP Nos.26858 and 26859 of 2016 dated 19.09.2016. O R D E R

This case is already covered by order passed by this Court in similar writ petition Nos.26858 & 26859 of 2016 dated 16.08.2016 and the relevant paragraph 7 is extracted as follows -

7. Accordingly, this court issues the following directions :- (i) The third respondent/District Collector is directed to include the District Revenue Officer, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram District in the Assessment Committee as one of the member which already consist of 6 members.

(ii) Since, issuance of individual notice to the petitioners and the aggrieved persons may not be possible, the District Revenue Officer concerned is directed to issue a public notice in the prominent place in the villages concerned and put a tom-tom in both the villages informing the date of hearing, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (iii) The petitioners / aggrieved persons who came to know about the information about the hearing are expected to inform their neighbours in the same village also.

(iv) After hearing the petitioners/aggrieved persons, based on the available materials, the Assessment Committee shall determine the compensation both for Venbedu Village and for Kayar village, within a period of one week thereafter and the same shall be communicated by him to the TANTRANSCO/Second respondent herein.

(v) On such information, the second respondent shall deposit the said amount fixed by the District Revenue Officer to the Revenue Authorities, who shall disburse the amount of compensation to the petitioners/aggrieved persons, within a period of two weeks thereafter. This writ petition is also disposed of in terms of the above directions. No costs.

Post the matter for compliance on 22.11.2016 alongwith WP Nos.26858 & 26859 of 2016.
