COMMON O R D E R Heard Mr.P.Sivaraman, the learned counsel for Mr.T.Ramesh Kutty, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.K.Venkatesh, the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 2.

These Writ Petitions have been filed, challenging the demand of sales tax arrears on the account of the fact that the deferral scheme granted to the petitioners was withdrawn.

The learned Government Advocate for the respondents has produced a written communication given by the respondent/Assessing Officer to the Special Government Pleader (Taxes) High Court, Madras, dated 28.09.2016, stating that the arrears of tax payable by both the petitioners for the years 1993 to 1994 to 1999-2000 and 1994-95 to 19992000 respectively, have been fully settled and collected through Samadhan Scheme, and Settlement orders were also issued by the Joint Commissioner (CT), Coimbatore, and there is no arrears of tax.

In the light of the above said communication, dated 28.09.2016, nothing further survives in these Writ Petitions for any adjudication. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions are closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 06.07.2017 sd Index : yes/no To
