(Made by P.N.PRAKASH,J.) This criminal miscellaneous petition has been filed to condone the delay of 720 days in filing the above appeal challenging the judgment and order dated 24.08.2018 passed in S.C.No.6 of 2017 on the file of the Sessions Court, Karaikal.

On 20.10.2022, this Court passed the following order: "The Registry is directed to verify as to whether the appellant has filed another appeal through some other counsel challenging his conviction and sentence by judgment and order dated 24.08.2018 passed in S.C.No.6 of 2017 on the file of the Sessions Court, Karaikal and place a report before this Court on 14.11.2022.

The Registry is also directed to call for a report from the trial Court as to whether the material objects and original records are available in S.C.No.6 of 2017.

Post the matter on 14.11.2022."

Pursuant to the above order, the District Judge (FAC), Karaikal, has sent a report dated 11.11.2022, wherein, it is stated as follows: "With the reference to the above cited, I am submitting that the Original records and the material objects are available in S.C.No.06/2017 in Crl.A.Sr.No.48059/2022 on the file of the Hon'ble High Court, Madras."

In view of the above and accepting the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, the delay of 720 days in filing the above appeal is condoned. The Registry is directed to number the appeal, if the same is otherwise in order.
