(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The writ petition has been filed to seek a direction to open a Nationalised Bank Branch at Thiru Uthirakosamangai, Ramanathapuram District.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the Reserve Bank of India submitted that the representation sent by the petitioner has been dealt with. It was informed that the bank is already operating at the place and, thus, it is not that no bank is exists in the area in question. Rather, the branch of Tamil Nadu Grama Bank (TNGB) is functioning in the village, in addition to 9 Business Correspondents (BCs) of TNGB are providing services in and around the village. ATM was also opened by the State Bank of India and operating since December, 2021.

3. In view of the aforesaid, learned counsel for the petitioner has shown satisfaction about the redressal of the grievance.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is ordered to be closed. There will be no order as to costs.
