ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J) Alleging wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 04.07.2023 in W.A.No.499 of 2020, this contempt petition is moved.
2. By order dated 04.07.2023, the respondent was directed to disburse 17-B wages directly to the employees who appear before the office of the Registrar after filing an affidavit to the effect that they are not gainfully employed.
3. It is now reported before this Court that the amount is being
paid regularly from August 2023. However, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners states that still the respondent-University is in arrears of money payable for the month of July 2023. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent-University undertakes that this amount also will be paid in due course.
4. Recording the undertaking of the learned counsel appearing for the respondent, this contempt petition is closed.
5. It is noted that the undertaking is given on the impression that the amount is not paid. If the amount is already paid, there is no requirement of making any further payment.
