This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 27.12.2023 and pass final orders within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.
Heard Mr.M.Nandhakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Prabhakaran, learned Government Advocate for respondents. 3.
The case of the petitioner is that she was working as Headmistress in Government High School, Melpallipattu, Vellore District. Disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the petitioner and it finally ended up with a punishment of stoppage of increment for two years with cumulative effect through the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 22.11.2023. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the 1st respondent dated 27.12.2023. The grievance of the petitioner is that the 1st respondent did not take up the appeal for hearing. It under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case 2/4
and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to deal with the appeal dated 27.12.2023 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 1st respondent along with all the relevant documents and copy of the appeal filed on 27.12.2023 and also a copy of this order.
