By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
The writ petition is filed to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2025, as forwarded by the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.1705257/2025/A1 dated 24.06.2025, seeking transfer to a nearby stations on merits and in accordance with law within a time limit to be stipulated by this Court.

The case of the petitioner is that, he was working as Additional Sub Treasury Officer, Ulundurpet and subsequently, he was transferred to Kallakurichi vide order dated 10.06.2025, issued by the first respondent herein. The main grievance of the petitioner is that, he is facing difficulty in travelling nearly 80 kilometre everyday to reach his office. Due to which, he could not take care of his family and aged mother. Hence he sent a representation to the first respondent dated 24.06.2025 through proper channel and the same is yet to be considered. Hence the petition.

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, there is a vacancy in the Panruti Treasury and if the petitioner's representation is considered, the same will be helpful for effective service and also to look after his family.

At this juncture, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would contend that the petitioner was working in Ulundurpet for more four years and he has been transferred to Kallakurichi very recently. Therefore, the question of reconsidering his transfer does not arise at all, as the transfer is an incidence of service. Hence prays to dismiss the writ petition.

Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Though the objection of the learned Special Government Pleader appears to be reasonable in the administrative jurisprudence, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 24.06.2025, mentioning his family circumstances and the same is pending. Therefore, this Court deems it
appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.06.2025, and pass orders on it's own merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
