ORDER
The petitioner has come forward with this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, seeking for a direction directing the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.81/S3/2016 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the brother of the petitioner, a case in Crime No.81/S3/2016 has been registered on 02.02.2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 279 and 337 of IPC and investigation is going on and hence, he https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
prays for three months time to complete the investigation and file a final report.
4. Considering the submissions made on both sides and also considering the fact that on the basis of the complaint given by the brother of the petitioner, after due enquiry, the case in Crime No.81/S3/2016 has been registered as early as on 02.02.2016 for the offences punishable under Sections 279 and 337 of IPC, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.81/S3/2016 and file a final report, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
