ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for Mandamus, to direct the respondents to disburse the belated payment of interest amount of Provident Fund, Gratuity, Earned Leave Salary & Commutation amounts but other unsettled benefits Arrears of Leave Surrender in while in service, 12(3) Settlement Arrears, Pension Arrears and DA Arrears with effect from 01.05.2016, within the stipulated time.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was retired from service on 30.04.2016. However, the terminal benefits have been settled to him belatedly but no interest has been paid for the delayed period. In view of the same, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 15.04.2025 to the respondents to pay interest for the delayed period. Since the 2/6
same was not considered by the respondents, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents fairly submits that in view of the similar orders passed by this Court in W.P.No.40031 of 2024, dated 06.01.2025, W.P.No.33742 of 2024; dated 12.11.2024 and W.P.No.35806 of 2024, dated 26.11.2024, the respondent is willing to pay the interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of the eligible and admissible amount.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either sides and also perused the materials available on record.

In such view of the fair submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to pay the eligible and admissible amount with interest at the rate of 6% per annum for the belated payment of terminal benefits, from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the terminal benefits of the 3/6
petitioner, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, according to its own merits and in accordance with law.
6. With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
