Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to modify the entry made in the Revenue Records in respect of S.No.58/9B - 17 cents (Hectare 0.7.0 ares) 34 Vadugoor Village, Thirukkuvalai Taluk, Nagapattinam District by deleting the name of Muthulakshmi, the 5th respondent herein and retaining the name of the petitioner Anjammal alone.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent to modify the entry made in the revenue records in respect of the property comprised in S.No.58/9B to an extent of 17 cents situated at 34 Vadugoor Village, Thirukkuvalai Taluk, Nagapattinam District, by deleting the name of the 5th respondent herein and retaining the name of the petitioner.

2. Heard, Mr.J.Kamaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.M.Ayyadurai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4.

It is seen from the records that the petitioner filed this writ petition for a direction directing the third respondent to modify the entry made in the revenue records in respect of the property comprised in S.No.58/9B to an extent of 17 cents situated at 34 Vadugoor Village, Thirukkuvalai Taluk, Nagapattinam District. In this regard, the petitioner did not make any application to modify the entry in the revenue records before the authorities concerned sofar.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation before the third respondent and on receipt of the same, the third respondent is directed to issue notice to the petitioner and the fifth respondent herein, by giving them an opportunity of hearing and shall pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
