Mr.A.Arun Babu, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, by directing the respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 18.09.2022, in accordance with the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending such exercise, the respondent is directed to maintain status quo as on date. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed. 06.10.2022
