Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to set up a mechanism in the State of Tamil Nadu to monitor or supervise the activities of Direct Sellers and Direct Selling entity as per Rule 11 of the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021 framed by the 4th respondent and further direct the 2nd respondent to consider the representation dated 25.05.2023 made by the petitioner.

Read this order in continuation of and in conjunction with earlier orders dated 08.09.2023, 04.10.2023 and 22.11.2023. 2.

In these orders, this Court has directed the respondents to finalize the Monitoring mechanism under the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021.

Today, respondents produce G.O.(Ms).No.160. Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection (H2) Department dated 2/4

08.12.2023 under which the Government has framed a Monitoring mechanism under Rule 11 of the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules,2021.

With this, the prayer of the petitioner stands achieved and this writ petition is closed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
