PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the 1/4

entire records connected with the impugned notification issued by the 4th respondent in Notification No.02/MRB/2021 as published in "DINAKARAN" dated 28.09.2021 and quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner for the post of Food Safety Officer and notify the appointment of Food Safety Officer afresh in accordance with Sec. 37 of Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. Heard Mr.C.Rajaguru, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Baladhandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 3 and Mr.M.Loganathan, learned counsel for the fourth respondent. There is no appearance on behalf of the second respondent.

2. The petitioner challenges the recruitment notification dated 28.09.2021, in which applications were called for the post of Food Safety Officer. The crucial date of the notification in the website is 30.09.2021 and the last date of submission of application is 21.10.2021. The written examination was also conducted in the month of November, 2021. 2/4

3. Though the petitioner had filed the present Writ Petition even before the last date of submission of the application, much water has flown under the bridge. Since the learned counsel for the fourth respondent submitted that the selection has been completed and appointment orders are already approved, at this juncture, interference to the recruitment process would not be appropriate.

4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 06.06.2023 Index:Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking Order hvk 3/4
