Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to restore the custody of the 38 children mentioned in Annexure to the writ petition to the petitioner institution and permit them to continue to be under the care and custody of the petitioner institution.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.P.Gnanasekaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks direction against the second respondent to restore the custody of the 38 children.

3. Learned Government Advocate submits that the licence of

the petitioner has already been cancelled.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the licence is not cancelled, but has expired.

5. Be that as it may, it is for the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law.

6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.21736 of 2017 is closed.
