ORDER
The contempt petition was dismissed by this Court by order dated 12.04.2024, mainly on the ground that the petitioner is involved in a criminal case registered at Kottampatti Police Station in Crime No.11 of 2021 under Sections 147, 341, 294(b), 323 IPC read with Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and the criminal case is under investigation. Even the Inspector of Police, Kottampatti Police Station has given a report and objected for grant of passport to the petitioner.
2. Now the contempt petitioner has again filed the sub application to reopen the contempt mainly on the ground that final report has not been filed in the criminal case.
3. It is altogether a different cause of action, which cannot be sought for by instituting the sub application to reopen the contempt proceedings. The scope of contempt proceedings cannot be expanded beyond the relief granted by this Court in the writ order.
