Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction and pay the freedom fighters pension as per the order of this court passed in W.P.No.29962 of 2003 on 03.08.2009 from the date of the petitioner's husband filed on 24.08.2000 till his demise on 12.09.2011 and thereafter the family pension payable to the petitioner as his widow from 13.09.2011 to upto date with all attendant benefits such as Bus travel concession, Medical health benefits etc and ii) to expeditiously dispose of the above writ petition after giving short notice to the respondents in view of her advanced age of 85 years.

On earlier occasion i.e. 09.01.2017, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner, hence the matter was adjourned. Today, (18.01.2017) when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner either in person or through the counsel on record. The District Collector passed the impugned order dated 27.03.2002, dismissing the claim of the petition.
